Emergence came to me in a dream. Years before it was realized in the form you're seeing to the right, it was a simple sketch. Then, the visual came to me again without me realizing it was a reoccurrence.
I had never made, or even seen, a sculpture like it. I'm not a big fan of working with clays due to the messy nature, and so I had an idea to make it out of strips of paper put together with hot glue. It came together like putting a human together from the bones up.
I started with a rough skeletal structure, and added "muscles" until it looked like skin.
I don't have a meaning intended with the piece, it truly just came from a vision, and I prefer the ambiguity in that.
